Dear Member Societies of WFAS,

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is with our deepest grief but we have to inform that Dr. Arne Morten Kausland, Vice President of WFAS from Norway,former president of Norwegian Acupuncture Association passed away on 1st April, 2021. 

Dr. Kausland had been working with WFAS for more than 20 years and had made important contributions to our work in many aspects by being Member of the 5th Executive Committee, Vice President of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Executive Committees, Deputy Director of Standardization Working Committee, Deputy Director of Legalization Working Committee, and Member of International Proficiency (Qualification) Exam Committee – he had been closely involved with all key issues in the progress of WFAS.

An expert to ISO/TC249 representing Norway, he devoted himself in promoting standardized, high-quality practice of acupuncture; a doctor for more than 30 years, he was an unswerving believer in acupuncture and seized every advocacy opportunity; a man of compassion and refined manner, he spared no effort in sharing his enormous knowledge or lending a helping hand whenever needed. Thanks to him, WFAS established cooperative connections with universities and institutions of Norway. We still remember the kind words bearing his greatest empathy to the people severely affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

To our sadness, it is time to say goodbye. His funeral will be online at 1 PM (CET) on April 12, 2021 at:

沉痛悼念世界针联副主席阿恩·考斯兰医生

尊敬的世界针联团体会员、同仁们、朋友们：

　　我们怀着万分悲痛的心情告知，世界针灸学会联合会副主席，挪威针灸学会前会长，阿恩·莫顿·考斯兰医生于2021年4月1日逝世，享年66岁。

　　考斯兰医生参与世界针联工作二十余载，为世界针联各项工作做出了重要贡献。他曾任世界针联第五届执行委员会委员，第六、七、八、九届执行委员会副主席，世界针联标准化工作委员会副主任委员，世界针联立法工作委员会副主任委员，世界针联国际水平（资格）考试委员会委员——他积极参与了世界针联发展进程中的各项重要议题，曾成功承办2003年世界针联国际针灸学术研讨会，为开展针灸学术交流做出突出贡献。

　　作为国际标准化组织中医药技术委员会挪威专家代表，他致力于推广标准化、高质量的针灸实践；作为一名从医30多年的医生，他是针灸医学的坚定信仰者，抓住每次机会宣传针灸医学；他为人富有同情心，举止彬彬有礼，总是不遗余力地分享专业知识，在别人需要时乐伸援助之手。在他的积极促成下，世界针联与挪威的大学、机构建立了合作关系。我们仍记得他对深受新冠肺炎影响的人民表达的同情鼓励。

　　与他道别我们悲伤万分。他的葬礼将于欧洲中部时间2021年4月12日下午1点通过网络举行，网址为：
