<p style="text-align: center;">ZHANG Xuemei, ZHANG Hongtao</p><p style="text-align: center;">（First Department of Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Tuina，Gansu TCM Hospital，Lanzhou，730030，China）</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Abstract:</strong> <strong>Objective:&nbsp;</strong> Purpose To compare therapeutic effects of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy&nbsp; method and&nbsp; routine&nbsp; acupuncture&nbsp; on&nbsp; Intractable&nbsp; facial paralysis.&nbsp; Methods:&nbsp; fifty-eight cases were randomly divided into a treatment group (30cases) and a control group (28cases). The treatment groups were treated with acupuncture and moxibustion therapy；&nbsp; the control groups were treated with twirling uniform reinforcing-reducing method. After treatment for 3 course，their&nbsp; therapeutic&nbsp; effects&nbsp; were&nbsp; compared.&nbsp; Results:&nbsp; The&nbsp; cured-markedly&nbsp; effective&nbsp; rate&nbsp; and&nbsp; the effective rate were 86.67% and 100% in the treatment group 64.29% and 85.71% in the control group. With a very significant difference in the cured-markedly effective rate (P&lt;0.01) and with a significant difference in the effective rate (P&lt;0.05) between the two groups.&nbsp; <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The therapeutic effect of the treatment group is significantly better than that of the control group after cure.</p><p><strong>Key Words</strong>：Acupuncture and moxibustion,&nbsp; Moxibustion Therapy,&nbsp; Intractable facial paralysis, The routine acupuncture method</p><p><br/></p>
