Methods: Based on patient collection&nbsp; since 2012&nbsp; and recording of self-&nbsp; treatment,&nbsp; this&nbsp; article&nbsp; trying&nbsp; to describe the history,&nbsp; present&nbsp; situation&nbsp; of&nbsp; special&nbsp; cupping&nbsp; therapy&nbsp; and&nbsp; the&nbsp; experience&nbsp; of&nbsp; practice,&nbsp; and&nbsp; to&nbsp; discuss&nbsp; the mechanism of special cupping according to negative pressure principle, meridian theory, strengthening yang principle and physiology. Results: Special cupping therapy could alleviate internal wind and cold, damp and hot, blood stasis, fire toxin and phlegm. It&nbsp; was applied to treat chronic diseases, complex symptoms&nbsp; andprimary tumor. Conclusion: Special cupping therapy is a complementary method&nbsp; and&nbsp; could be used in&nbsp; health maintenance, cosmetic procedures, and preventing or curing disease.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Key words</strong>: Special cupping, experience of practice, mechanism of special cupping</p><p><br/></p>
